NEW 720°C HEATING ELEMENT OPTION FOR EXAMINA STAGES - THMS720

Occasionally we get the request to push the limit of our pure silver heating elements beyond the 600°C limit and due to various limitations of materials it has not been possible until now.
This new pure silver heating element has a few novel modifications that enable heating rates of 100°C/min all the way up to 720°C when used with our new T95 system controller. The temperature controlled surface has also increased from 22mm to 25mm.
Cooling rates are compromised as a result although it is still possible to reach -196°C at a rate of 30°C/min.
This upgrade is only available if you have the T95 system controller. Please contact Linkam for more information.

NEW HIGH PRESSURE CELLS
|
|
We have released two new prototype high pressure cells for beta testing. The HPC250 can pressurize liquids or powders up to 175bar with a temperature limit of 250°C and the HPC400 has limits of 40bar up to 400°C.
Samples are pressurized in a small chamber (2.4mm diameter by 4mm deep) within a special low thermal expansion steel cell sealed with sapphire windows to enable both reflected and transmitted light observation.
High pressure lines into the cell pressurize the sample with liquid or gas.
The cells are currently being tested at high profile labs in Canada and Switzerland with positive results.

NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE STAGE WITH XY MANIPULATORS
|
|
The TS1400 XY is a fantastic new high temperature stage with a temperature range from ambient to 1400°C with XY sample manipulation. Samples are placed on a sapphire sample holder which slides into a ceramic horizontal flat tube. The sample is accurately heated from all sides to enable excellent thermal transfer to the sample and +/-1°C accruacy. Working distance is kept to a minimal 6mm so that high magnification metallurgical cells can be used. A special high speed quenching manipulator can be supplied so that the sample can be quickly withdrawn from the heater enabling quench cooling of the sample.
