Features and Benefits
The LNP cooling systems designed and built by Linkam are totally unique patented designs. The precise control of liquid nitrogen flow enable specific stages controlled cooling rates as fast as 130C/min or as slow as 0.1C/min. The ultra efficient use of liquid nitrogen ensures that half a day of cooling experiments can be acheived with just a 2L dewar.
Two liquid nitrogen cooling systems are available.
The LNP94/2 has two pumps inside and can be automatically controlled by the temperature programmer (30 auto selected pump speeds) or by selecting one of 5 manual pump speeds.
The LNP94/1 is the lower cost manually controlled unit containing only one pump and cannot be automatically controlled by the temperature programmer.
A cooling system consists of the control unit housing the pumps and a 2 Litre dewar.
The novel use of recycled dry nitrogen gas is used to purge the sample chamber and upper lid window surface of condensation. All tubes also remain perfectly flexible so that in polarized light applications the microscope table can still be rotated.
Note: Each dewar siphon is specifically calibrated for the particular stage it is to be used with.
Although all LNP94/2 pumps are the same, a THMS-LNP94/2 has a siphon calibrated for a different flow to an LTS-LNP94/2.
