PE150i-P35 Inverted Peltier System

Precise Peltier temperature control from 150°C to -40°C*

The Linkam PE150i-P35 brings precise Peltier temperature control to cell imaging on inverted microscopes. Using our WCP (Water Circulation Pump) the standard temperature range consists of 150°C to -25°C at ambient, and when coupled to a chiller an extended range of -40°C can be realised. The advantage of using the Peltier system is the ability to actively heat and cool the sample without the complexity of liquid nitrogen.

This easy to use and highly versatile unit encloses the sample to provide a gas-controlled environment and condensation free objective imaging. The addition of a medical grade roving temperature sensor can be added into Petri dishes to receive direct temperature measurement from the sample.

The PE150i-P35 system offers the following unique features:

  • Controlled sample environment via use of inert gas purge

  • Real-time fluid sample temperature measurement and logging via roving temperature probe

  • Imaging interface flexibility via use of cover slips and Petri dishes

  • Quick-release leads and water tube fittings

  • Compatible with most Petri dishes including EU, Japan and USA

  • Flexible adapter plate microscope mounting. Interchangeable adapters are available for a range of microscope tables including those from Evident, Nikon, Leica  and Zeiss.

The PE150i-P35 can be operated by a LinkPad for standalone control, NEXUS software or for system integration the Linkam SDK (Software Development Kit).

Our optional NEXUS software adds features such as data logging, graph generation, data export options and modules to add further capability, including live imaging and image analysis.

The Linkam SDK is a device driver source development kit, used to control Linkam equipment and is designed to be used by scientists and engineers with programming skills, who wish to develop their own solutions.

The PE150i-P35 heating and cooling stage has been designed with user friendliness and flexibility in mind. Its compact design allows temperature control to be incorporated into existing microscopy workflows while maintaining convenient access to the sample and supporting optical observations throughout the experiment. This makes the stage suitable for applications including live-cell imaging, cell and tissue studies, biological research, drug discovery, food research and other microscopy-based investigations.
