Investigating the Simultaneous Optical and Thermoanalytical Monitoring of the Dehydration of Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate using Linkam's DSC600

Linkam’s DCS600 shown above

Scientists investigated the simultaneous optical and thermoanalytical monitoring of the dehydration of copper sulphate pentahydrate using Linkam's DSC600. Thermoanalytical investigations are an established tool for characterising organic and inorganic materials of all kinds. However, only additional information from other independent methods allows meaningful interpretation of the measurement results.

The Linkam DSC600 stage allows direct coupling with optical methods, whether visual or spectroscopic. Simultaneous coupling with infrared and X-ray methods provides valuable information that goes far beyond the thermoanalytical results. Find out more here.
