Water Circulation Pump (WCP) Support

This section contains solutions to common WCP questions.

STAGE BODY IS OVERHEATING

  • Ensure the WCP is connected and switched on. See your User Guide for connection information.
  • Ensure water is flowing through the tubes - if you have a flow meter check that it is spinning, and if not, look for air bubbles moving through the tubes.
  • Check the water level in the WCP is at the correct level by:
    • Switching off the unit
    • Wait for the water level to rise in the reservoir tank to its rest level
    • If necessary, top up the reservoir to the fill level as shown in the image below.
Do NOT fill the reservoir whilst the pump is running; the water level will rise when the pump is switched off which could cause the reservoir to overflow.

If the water is flowing and is not too warm and you still have this error message, there may be a fault. Contact Linkam Technical Support for advice.

PELTIER STAGE DISPLAYING ‘WATER TEMPERATURE IS TOO HIGH’

  • Ensure the WCP is connected and switched on. See your User Guide for connection information.

Water reservoir too low

During operation it is normal for the reservoir level to drop. However, if the level is too low air will be sucked into the system and impair the performance of the WCP.

To check the reservoir level please perform the following steps:

  • Switch off the unit
  • Wait for the water level to rise in the reservoir tank to its rest level
  • If necessary, top up the reservoir to the fill level as shown in the image below.
Do NOT fill the reservoir whilst the pump is running; the water level will rise when the pump is switched off which could cause the reservoir to overflow.

Water temperature too high

Stop the run and restart the WCP. Allow the water to cool to room temperature before restarting the run. The unit can be left circulating in order to cool the water down more quickly.

Water temperature too low

Allow the water to warm to room temperature before restarting the run. The unit can be left circulating in order to warm the water more quickly.

Pump current too high

Check there is sufficient water in the reservoir as described above in 'Water Reservoir Too Low'. Drain then re-prime the system if necessary as described in the User Guide.

Pump current too low

Check there is sufficient water in the reservoir as described above in 'Water Reservoir Too Low'. Drain then re-prime the system if necessary as described in the User Guide.
